Fishing Report
July 23, 2012

Fishing has been up and down for the past week. We have had some really good days and some days where we have been searching for bigger fish. The one constant is that there are lots of Coho, though our prime target of course is the Chinook! The Chinook and Coho were in good numbers at Inside South for a few days and then off to another place—which now is Long Beach Bank. We have been using needlefish hutchies and 3.5 inch spoons for the best success. The Chinook have been at all depths and this may be attributed to the bait being very scattered. Some of our guides are using plugs, though this has not been consistent yet as there is not as much larger bait around as we would like. The large runs haven’t showed up in the numbers we are used to yet and hopefully they will be here soon!

Halibut have been biting consistently and we have been trolling and bottom bouncing and anchoring for halibut on both the Long Beach bank and South Bank.

Pictured below is some of the happy clients from the past week!
